August 2, 2025 UPDATE:
Good news! The debris is cleared and the sluice gate on the dam is closed. Now we wait for the lake to refill.
For the next few weeks, we will be doing just two shows a week: Thursday and Friday from the location next to The Boathouse.

July 30, 2025 UPDATE:
Following a significant rainfall on July 24, a sluice gate on the Dam that controls the water level in Lake Victoria was raised and debris under the gate is preventing it from fully closing. As a result, Lake Victoria is draining at a rate of 25mm/hr.
"The draw down will continue until the water level reaches a point where staff can safely access the gate and remove the debris. The gate will then be closed again so that the reservoir can begin to refill, while maintaining downstream flows. How quickly it refills will depend on how much rain we get." Source: UTRCA
